AKWAABA AFRICAN TRAVEL MARKET 2019: ST. ANGE & OTHERS RECEIVE AWARDS IN LAGOS

Respected and popular former Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine of Seychelles, Alain St.Ange along with several other awardees on the respected list of Africa Top 100 Tourism Global Personalities made it to the 15th AKWAABA African Travel Market which took place in Lagos, Nigeria to personally receive their awards.

According to the organiser of AKWAABA African Travel Market and Publisher of ATQ NewsIkechi Uko, “The award recognizes personalities of African origin, living in Africa or outside the continent, irrespective of their current citizenship or nationality who are willing to contribute to the development of the continent and its Diaspora.”

Former Minister St. Ange is the President of African Tourism Board Association (ATBA) and has been working tirelessly to create avenues for continued growth of tourism. He said after receiving the prestigious award that it was a tremendous honour for the work he has been doing for tourism as an industry. “I thank wholeheartedly the African Tourism Diaspora for this wonderful recognition.”

The presentation of awards took place immediately after the 1st African Tourism Diaspora Conference 2019, which was part of the line-up of events at the travel and tourism expo which was hosted at the Convention Centre of the prestigious Eko Hotel Lagos, Victoria Island from September 22 to 24, 2019. The conference and presentation of awards took place on Monday September 23, 2019.

The Africa Travel 100 Awards, now in its 18th year, has recognized over the years leaders, industry practitioners and government officials who have promoted tourism and improved travel using unique platforms and new information.
