Nigeria currently has no designated Marine Protected Areas. No state-backed compensation framework for incidental catch. No official tagging and monitoring program. Nigeria’s environmental agency did not even respond to requests for comment on the turtle decline. Green Fingers is filling a vacuum left by the state.
