ARDA Forum 2026: Fueling African Aviation Founder Bernard Onguso to Speak on Jet Fuel Growth
Nairobi, Kenya – The African Refiners & Distributors Association (ARDA) is pleased to announce that Bernard Omboto Onguso, Practitioner-Architect and Founder of Fueling African Aviation, will join as a speaker at the ongoing ARDA Storage, Distribution and Jet Fuel Forum 2026.
On Wednesday, 21 October, Onguso will take part in a high-level panel discussion titled “The African Jet Fuel Market: Responding to the Growth of Air Transport.” The session aims to address the escalating demands of Africa’s expanding aviation sector and explore sustainable solutions for fuel distribution and supply.
With over 30 years of global experience spanning refinery-to-wing operations, consulting, entrepreneurship, and industry leadership, Onguso brings a rare depth of expertise to the conversation. His career has included collaboration with major international energy companies, giving him firsthand insight into the complexities of the global energy landscape.

A strong advocate for energy independence and sustainability, Onguso is a leading voice in positioning Africa as a premier destination for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) investment and production. His work focuses on bridging the gap between academic research, industry standards, and practical implementation—efforts designed to accelerate the growth and competitiveness of Africa’s aviation infrastructure.
“Bernard’s ability to connect global energy standards with local African realities is invaluable,” an ARDA spokesperson noted. “We are delighted to welcome him to Nairobi and look forward to his expert insights during this important discussion.”
As air transport continues to grow across the continent, forums like ARDA’s provide critical platforms for stakeholders to align strategy with infrastructure needs. Onguso’s participation underscores the growing intersection between road development, storage logistics, and aviation fuel sustainability.
The ARDA Storage, Distribution and Jet Fuel Forum 2026 continues to serve as a key gathering point for industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators committed to advancing Africa’s transport and energy ecosystems.
