MY ZIMBABWE DIARY X: DAY 1 OF SANGANAI/HLANGANANI 2016..

…and Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo kicked off today at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Grounds, Bulawayo. We met other people from the second pre-tour and the post-tour groups – a couple of them were with us at Bulawayo Rainbow Hotel and we boarded buses together to the Expo venue.
In the afternoon, we took a break and went for lunch at Glen Lodge. We returned and continued our business, checking out stands…
Later on the Honourable Minister of Tourism and Hospitality, Engineer Dr. Walter Mzembi arrived and took a tour of the stands. He was there with his beautiful wife and a host of other important people.
We left the venue before it got dark and made for our hotel to refresh and prepare for the Welcome Reception. It was a fun affair as we were thoroughly entertained by the MC and the various local acts and Gemma Griffiths who spiced up the night.
Afterwards, a couple of us explored the dark side and paid a visit to the Private Lounge, Bulawayo (Play Room)… One day, I shall tell what went down there…
