Seychelles Expands European Air Access with New Direct Flights
Seychelles is reinforcing its global connectivity with the launch of new direct airlinks to Europe, courtesy of national carrier Air Seychelles. Starting 20 March 2026, travelers can enjoy three weekly flights between Seychelles and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner in partnership with Etihad Airways. A twice-weekly service to Rome, via a brief technical stop in Hurghada, begins 28 March on Wednesdays and Saturdays using an Airbus A320neo.
Tourism Minister Amanda Bernstein emphasized the importance of reliable air access: “Maintaining consistent connections is essential as travel patterns evolve. We’re proud to welcome our national carrier back to Europe and remain committed to accessibility, quality, and the warm Seychellois spirit.”
Despite regional airspace adjustments, Seychelles remains well-connected through partners like Ethiopian Airlines (daily via Addis Ababa), Kenya Airways (via Nairobi), and regional carriers linking Mauritius, Colombo, and Johannesburg.
Seasonal routes from Moscow, Frankfurt, Zurich, and Istanbul further broaden access. With no current security concerns and all tourism services fully operational, Seychelles continues to offer a tranquil, welcoming escape — ideal for travelers seeking peace, beauty, and seamless access.
