Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles Welcomes Milan Jajčanin as New Hotel Manager
Minor Hotels has appointed Milan Jajčanin as Hotel Manager of Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles, signalling a continued push to elevate the resort’s guest experience following its full-scale refurbishment and June 2025 reopening.
Milan steps into the role with a solid background in hotel operations and food and beverage leadership — qualities that will serve the 192-key Mahé resort well as it builds on its refreshed identity. Known for a hands-on, detail-focused approach, he brings a people-first philosophy to the leadership team, with a clear mandate: consistent service standards, stronger cross-departmental collaboration and memorable guest experiences from arrival to departure.
“The priorities are clear: deliver consistent service standards, strengthen collaboration across teams and ensure every guest leaves with a positive, memorable experience.” — Milan Jajčanin, Hotel Manager, Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles
Perched on Mahé’s scenic west coast, roughly 30 minutes from Seychelles International Airport, Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles has emerged from its refurbishment with a compelling new offering — upgraded Lagoon Access Rooms, an expanded pool area, multiple dining venues and bars, an AvaniSpa and a curated programme of cultural experiences that tap into the island’s rich heritage.
Speaking on the appointment, Cluster General Manager Naji Esta added:
“We are delighted to welcome Milan to the team. His operational expertise, calm leadership style and commitment to service excellence will be instrumental as we continue to elevate performance and guest experience at Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles.”
The appointment comes at a dynamic moment for the Avani brand globally. Minor Hotels has an ambitious pipeline of openings through 2026 and beyond, including properties in Laos, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand — a clear signal that the brand is doubling down on lifestyle-driven destinations across the Asia-Pacific region and the Indian Ocean.
For travellers with the Seychelles on their radar, Avani+ Barbarons offers a well-positioned base — refined, experience-led and now backed by strengthened operational leadership.
