The management of More Cream Than Coffee® is pleased and excited to announce the arrival of Hazel Matebwe to the writing and editorial team of the company.

Born in Zimbabwe, Ms. Matebwe who is a Shona, the largest ethnic group in the country, grew up in Kariba, Mashonaland West Province. She has a BSc in Media & Society Studies from the Midlands State University, Gweru and worked briefly for The Times-New Ziana as a sports and entertainment reporter. Hazel has experience in childcare which she loves doing. She enjoys writing, travelling, cooking, sports and music.


Hazel Matebwe moved to Germany in 2018 where she is currently undergoing training in Nursing (Health Education). She speaks her native Shona and English fluently, and can communicate effectively in German.

From November 25, 2019, Hazel will debut her weekly column “Musings of A Shona In Europe” on the More Cream Than Coffee© website.

Niyi David

‘Niyi David is a travel writer/photographer and Editor-in-Chief at More Cream Than Coffee. Previously, he worked at Afro Tourism West Africa Ltd as a travel writer, and was Head of Media and C.O.O. before leaving in May 2018. Prior to that he had worked as scriptwriter on some major media projects in Nigeria, such as 'Peak Talent Show' and the Ford Foundation sponsored 'Stop Impunity in Nigeria' campaign.
