Celebrating a Visionary: St. Ange Bags PATWA Gold Award for Tourism Legacy
Berlin, Germany – The Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA), an affiliate member of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism), has announced that Alain St. Ange has been named recipient of the 2026 “PATWA Gold Award – Tourism Legacy” at ITB Berlin, the world’s leading travel trade show. This prestigious recognition honours his transformative contributions to the global tourism industry.
The PATWA International Travel Awards are among the most respected accolades in the travel sector, celebrating excellence across governments, brands, organisations, and individuals who have significantly advanced tourism promotion. Categories span aviation, hospitality, travel agencies, tour operators, and more.

The award was scheduled to be presented during the 26th PATWA World Tourism Leaders Summit at ITB Berlin in March 2026. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Alain St.Ange was unable to attend in person. Nevertheless, the event celebrated his legacy, with attendees acknowledging his profound impact on the global tourism community.
