Official Appointment: Emmanuel Treku to Lead GHATOF Marketing & P.R. Committee
ACCRA, GHANA – The Ghana Tourism Federation (GHATOF) has formally announced the appointment of Mr. Emmanuel Treku as the Chairman of the Marketing and Public Relations Functional Committee.
The appointment was confirmed via an official communique dated January 23, 2026, issued by the President of the Federation, Mr. Seth Ocran. Mr. Treku, who currently serves as the Executive Director of the Inter Tourism Expo Accra, brings a wealth of industry expertise and strategic communication experience to this vital role.
Alignment with New Leadership Mandate
This appointment follows the recent inauguration of Mr. Seth Ocran as President of GHATOF. Having been elected by an overwhelming majority, President Ocran has moved swiftly to assemble a team of “excellent professionals and associates of competence” to deliver on a clear mandate of greater efficiency and stakeholder welfare.
In his new capacity, Mr. Treku will oversee the communication and branding efforts for the Federation’s current priority initiatives, which include:
- Environmental Stewardship: The GHATOF Plastics Pollution Prevention Project.
- Standards & Hospitality: The GHATOF Customer Service Certification Project.
- Green Energy: The GHATOF Clean Cookstoves for Sustainable Tourism Project.
- Infrastructure Advocacy: Linking Transport Challenges Affecting Tourism Project.
