When I got downstairs for breakfast, I discovered who the other members of my group were. They were rounding up when Mark and I came down. Mark’s group were scheduled to leave much later to their destination, while we had a flight to catch to Victoria Falls city. The team included Sam Nyaude whom I had made contact with via social media. Sam was to help me conduct an interview for Dr. Oliver ‘Tuku’ Mtukudzi, the legendary musician from Zimbabwe. There was Steve Chikosi as well as Busani Leroy Bango, while the only lady with us so far – apart from Chido – was Chantae Reden an American. Breakfast done, we got into a waiting bus and headed to the airport.
We arrived in Victoria Falls about 15mins past eleven and after exiting the arrival hall, we met the the real team leader, Rachel Mugamu. She was waiting with a driver to pick us up and after some quick intro we piled into the bus and drove down to Elephants Hill Resort.
After checking in and going to our rooms, we returned downstairs and went to the restaurant for lunch. There we met two Ghanaian bloggers Francis and Monte, also part of our team who had arrived earlier.
We had some time to relax after lunch before we were summoned and led to the jetty for a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. Another member of the team, Olivia Balsinger an American had arrived before we left the resort, and she went straight with us on the boat cruise.
