FlySafair Launches New Johannesburg-Lusaka Route, Offers Fares from R2,800

Johannesburg, South Africa – FlySafair has officially expanded its regional footprint, announcing the launch of a new direct service between Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) and Lusaka’s Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN). The move responds to sustained demand on the corridor, bridging a gap for business travelers, tourists, and the diaspora community seeking easier access between the two nations.

The new route will operate five times weekly, specifically on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Affordable Connectivity In line with FlySafair’s low-cost carrier model, the airline has positioned competitive fares to make travel accessible. Tickets are available from R2,800 for flights departing Johannesburg and R3,000 for returns from Lusaka, excluding surcharges.

Route Details and Schedule The flights operate on a tight schedule to maximize daily utility for business travelers:

• JNB to LUN: Departs OR Tambo at 07:50, arriving in Lusaka at 09:50.
• LUN to JNB: Departs Kenneth Kaunda at 10:50, arriving at OR Tambo at 12:50.
