After an epic four-hour detour from Limbe to witness the thunderous cascade of the Ekom-Nkam Waterfalls, we had to turn around, exhaustion setting in like a heavy cloak. We finally arrived at Krystal Palace Douala around 21:00, a group of 40 weary travelers. Despite the fatigue, the hotel’s entrance exuded calm. The check-in process, a feat considering our size and other arrivals, was swift and seamless. The atmosphere in the lobby was immediately welcoming—a blend of modern elegance and warm, understated hospitality.
