Unconfirmed reports on social media are claiming a new visa process has been implemented in Tanzania with immediate effect. The reports state that passengers arriving Kilimanjaro International Airport, Moshi without visa now will need to: (1). Get a Government Control Number, (2). Pay for it at the bank, before (3). Immigration crosscheck and issue the visa.

These new changes requires that the passengers will  have to queue at each phase of the process meaning they may end up spending more than two hours at the airport waiting to get their visa. It is recommended that passengers apply for their Tanzania visa online at www.immigration.go.tz in good time, as the online application asks for more information and takes 2-3 weeks to process.
